Buke and Gase: A handmade sound, literally.

Named after their own handmade instruments, Buke and Gase is one of the most refreshing bands out of today’s experimental indie scene.
Vocalist Arone Dyer leads this Brooklyn duo with a voice that could rival a well-rehearsed a cappella group. She creates a textured sound from her converted six-string baritone ukulele, dubbed the “buke”. Simultaneously, Dyer manipulates the music with the effects produced by the pedal on her right and her handmade “toe-bourine” on her left. Complimenting Dyer’s sound is the “gase”, a guitar-bass hybrid, made and played by Aron Sanchez.
In support of their sophomore LP General Dome, the band will play London’s Lexington on Thursday 18th April 2013. Cosmo Sheldrake will open for the duo.
