Guestlist Recommends: The Virgins

New York indie group, The Virgins supported punk rock icons, Iggy Pop and The Stooges in the past, and are now confirmed to support The Killers on their US tour this spring.
Their groovy upbeat single ‘Rich Girls’ from their debut self-titled album was named one of 2008’s best songs by Rolling Stone and remains one of their biggest hits today.
But the band shows off a more mature sound in their sophomore album, Strike Gently. Tracks like ‘Flashbacks, Memories, And Dreams’ and ‘Prima Materia’ have that same funky sound from the first record but with a new edge to it.
The Virgins announced a special gig at London’s The Old Blue Last for 20th June 2013. Get your tickets early because it promises to be quite an intimate show.
