David Bowie Is

Thursday 21st March 2013 | Rosheen

If there’s one thing you do this month, make sure you head down to the V&A Museum to catch a glimpse and gain an insight into the world of a cultural icon who inspired and reshaped a whole generation. The musical innovator can only be described as true piece of art. A living legend.

Opening on 23rd March, the hugely anticipated exhibition will give you unprecedented access into the life and career of David Bowie and the enormous archive that surrounds him. Born in Brixton and raised in Bromley, the musician is a proper Londoner and the exhibition is staying true to the artist’s roots. With over 300 objects made up of original costumes, fashion, photography, handwritten lyrics, music videos, set designs, album artwork, the musician’s own instruments and so much more, the show is set to be a massive hit. You’d be a fool not to experience it for yourself!

With his signature lightning bolt make up, Bowie is a household name not only in the UK but across the globe, and with his huge success, the exhibition celebrating the icon comes as no surprise. With the opening night at the V&A welcoming high profile fans like Bill Nighy, Kaya Scodelario, Matt Smith and Noel Gallagher to name a few,  it proves how popular this exhibition is set to be.

Tickets are being snapped up quickly, so give the exhibition a go and interpret for yourself who you think David Bowie really is.

I’ve got my ticket, have you?!

‘David Bowie is’ is at the V&A from 23rd March to 11th August
