Spring Offensive is one of Oxford’s most unique indie treasures. The five-piece group was even named BBC Introducing in Oxford’s Band of the Year last year. The best part about Spring Offensive is how stripped down their music is. Soft drums, dark lyrics, hymn-like vocalisations and melodic guitars give the band an easily enjoyable sound. You can hear for yourself during Spring Offensive's gig at The Lexington in King's Cross on Tuesday 19th March 2013.
Songs like ‘Worry Fill My Heart’ have a perfect balance between mellow vibes and upbeat tempos, and earned Spring Offensive a set at T in the Park on last year’s BBC Introducing stage. Their latest single for ‘No Assets’ shows the band having a creative go at video-making, using 12 chest-mounted iPhone cameras to make us a little visual treat. Have a look and listen here:
