Indie-pop duo Phantogram are in the studio working on a new album, the long-awaited follow up to their 2009 debut Eyelid Movies.
Slightly overshadowed by tour-friends Polica’s enigmatic burst on to the scene in 2012, the band seem to have been commanding their fight hoping to smash it with the next record. Interim EP Nightlife hints at more hooky indietronica tunes on the upcoming release, positioned to be their breakthrough. The band have been laying down new material throughout the New Year, for their as yet untitled second offering. If Sarah Barthel’s haircut and Nightlife track ‘When I’m Small’ featuring on the US Skins are anything to go by, this band are up there in the cool stakes as ones to watch.
