Oxford Five-piece bring a Holy Fire to London
With their third album just out, Foals are playing perhaps their biggest gig yet with a set at the Royal Albert Hall, not once but twice in one day, with an evening show as well as a matinee performance. With both their debut Antidotes and its Mercury nominated successor Total Life Forever they’ve achieved commercial (both records reaching the top 10) and critical acclaim so the success of new LP Holy Fire seems to be guaranteed. They’ve already got a great list of hits for their audiences with their classic ‘Spanish Sahara’, recently voted as “most goosebump-inducing track” by the NME, and the already well received new singles ‘Inhaler’ and ‘My Number’. Both of these gigs are currently sold out so perhaps the best next time to see them will be in the summer when they rock Reading and Leeds festival.
