After years in obscurity, legendary indie-rock guitarist Johnny Marr returns to the Shepherds Bush Empire on the 15th of March, aiming to attain an air of satisfaction as he attempts to prove himself once again.
The Smiths, considered by many as one of the founders of the Indie genre, were great. There's not a rock fan in the United Kingdom that doesn't respect the impact they were able to inflict in the 1980's. Morrisey's striking appearence and persona was so inticingly jaw dropping that it occasionally over shadowed Mr Marr's ingredients, but since the band seperated in 1987, Johnny Marr has been able to reach a new level of acclamation due to the rising interest of the increasing Smiths fandom. Throughout the years, Johnny Marr has provided useful insight for many acts such as the 21st century indie sensations The Cribs and Modest Mouse, however in 2013 he plans to release his highly anticipated debut album The Messenger, surely providing grooves influenced by his experienced, award winning spell in the music industry thus far.
For those who consider themselves Indie rock listeners, this spectacle on the 15th of March is surely not one to be missed.
