Justin Timberlake on the verge of returning to music
Other | Thursday 10th January 2013 | Andre
He hasn't appeared in the charts since his collaboration with The Lonely Island and Lady Gaga in 2011, but now the post-MJ King of Pop looks to be returning to the music scene -- which so dearly misses him -- with a new track later this year.
Whether you know him from 'Cry Me a River', from 'SexyBack', or from his various high-profile collaborations ('Dead and Gone' with T.I. and '4 Minutes' with Madonna spring to mind), there's no denying that Justin Timberlake is one of the biggest popstars of our generation. It's understandable if you miss him, but fear not as various major news outlets are reporting that he's set to return this year, on a track featuring megastar couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé (no word on baby Blue yet!).
Timberlake's last full-length album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, which has sold over ten million copies worldwide, came out over five years ago now, and the last major single on which he appeared was Timbaland's 2009 number one 'Carry Out'. Since then he's been establishing himself in the film industry, with major roles in movies such as The Social Network and In Time increasing his public image outside of the music charts. Long-time collaborator and producer Timbaland is also expected to feature on the mysterious upcoming track, although nothing is officially confirmed as of yet.
