Guitars, zombies, explosions and boobs – all in a day’s work for the Stones

The legendary band’s latest music video features all of the above, with the topless appearance coming from one of the stars of Prometheus.
Never a group to hold back on anything, the Rolling Stones have released the video for ‘Doom and Gloom’, and it’s definitely worth viewing. Directed by Jonas Akerlund – the brains behind The Prodigy’s ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ – the veterans rock out to a backdrop of Prometheus actress Noomi Rapace, shotgun in hand, blowing the heads off zombies, lying prostrate and topless on a bed of $100 bills and generally being awesome. Explosions and booze abound in what is an incredibly rock ‘n’ roll video.
Need more convincing? It starts with a fighter jet.
The members themselves clearly still have energy to spare – with the possible exception of drummer Charlie Watts, who does seem to just be chilling out behind the kit, barely showing any emotion at all and sometimes looking like he doesn’t quite know where he is. Mick, Keith and Ronnie, however, are still giving it all, strutting around and striking poses like they were still in their 20s.
Hopefully, they’ll throw as much dynamism into their much-publicised 50th anniversary live shows in London and America. In the meantime, check out the video for ‘Doom and Gloom’ below.
