Autumn Food Festivals

Monday 8th October 2012 | Shavy

Local producers have organised various food festivals around the UK this October. Food festivals have already started with Beverley Food Festival on October 6 and will end with East Sussex Food festival on November 4.

In East Yorkshire this weekend, people were all set to enjoy the bright sunny weekend with East Midland food and drinks. The Food Festival organised by Beverley Town Council and it turned out to be brilliant. Thousands of people came forward and showed up their talent as chefs. More than 200 stallholders, including 50 exhibiting for the first time, tempted the taste buds of the bumper crowds with everything from French macaroons to zebra meat. Produce was judged in 11 categories, with prizes given to the best and runner-up entries.

It’s ok if you have missed this one because it is not the end; your craving for food will be quenched with the line up of food festivals this October. If you are talented enough to cook scrumptious food, proudly become a part of these festivals. These festivals are not about professional cooking but for amateurs to display their potential.

In these festivals you will obviously have different variety of food but more than that you will enjoy farmers’ markets, master classes by top local chefs, fishing boat races, quizzes, hog-themed parties, exhibitions and lot more.  It would be much more amusing and delicious than you expect.

Take a deep breath and get prepared to give your taste buds a tinge of different flavours.
