Marina is a diamond in the rough

Earlier this week, Marina of the diamond kind posted a tweet slating her record label 679 Artists, owned by Warner Music Group, for not releasing her latest music video as she isn’t, shall we say, looking her best.
"So, someone at my record label won’t let me release the video bc I look ugly in it apparently + we need more $ / time to paint out ugly parts," She later tweeted, "The video will be out end of the week. If not, I am happy to leak the 'minger' version for my fans." However, the record label 679 responded with, “for the record, we think M's a babe @marinasdiamonds” So it seems these ugly allegations come from a higher power at Warner.
In a media fuelled world, the strains of staying beautiful are stronger than ever. In my opinion, I’d love to see Marina looking less than perfect , or perhaps eating a massive chocolate cake. I’m talking Matilda style. You see when I get into work and watch the latest music video releases - I know, my life is so hard - I still have last night’s dribble in the corner of my mouth and the morning croissant crumbs in my cleavage, and I don’t want to be reminded how inferior as a woman I am.
It seems the women of pop are under-fire after Lady Gaga was reprimanded for gaining a few pounds earlier this week. The woman is Italian, let her eat carbs!
I hope that Marina releases the ‘minger’ video and shows the world at least one member of this crazed beautiful industry doesn’t stay restrained by the perfect cage she is trapped in.
