Black Keys announce December UK tour

Fasten your seatbelts, guys – the Black Keys are back in the UK.
The Ohio band has seen incredible success of late, with their previous release, Brothers, winning two Grammy awards last year. Their most recent studio album, El Camino, has gone gold both here and across the pond, with songs like ‘Gold on the Ceiling’ becoming very popular very quickly. As such, the feel-good duo will be visiting Newcastle on December 7th, followed daily by gigs in Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester, finishing up at the O2 Arena in London on December 12th.
Some fans may be concerned about the tour – popular opinion swerves towards the idea that the Black Keys are better suited to smaller venues, not arenas. They have previously had to cancel shows citing exhaustion from punishing schedules. However, following a series of gigs this year, as well as successful main stage performances at Reading and Leeds at the end of August, there is little doubt that the band can handle larger shows. Let’s hope they stick with it until the end, and round off the year in style.
Tickets to see the Black Keys are £27.50 (£30 for O2 Arena show) and are available from most ticket sites.
