Lana Del Rey 'Backfire'

We love a sad song but something about Lana Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’ really was quite grating. Perhaps because as sultry and as deep as her voice is something about that song rather than sending us into a state of sad song retrospection made us fall into a coma.
But in the words of Brucy ‘ surprise, surprise’ her latest song to be released on the internet doesn’t rub us up the wrong way. ‘Backfire’ is the classic song about falling for a bad boy however with Lana’s vocals that feel like ribbons of wisdom being wound from her mouth the song has a much greater sense of knowing and pain.
Let’s hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship between us and Lana, although it is hard to like someone so pretty and talented but I guess she’ll have to try.
