Delightful Daughter.

What a lovely Daughter.
How we keep repeating , how has this wonderful band slipped through our fingers thus far ? Listening to Daughter almost makes you feel guilty as singer Elena Tonra’s voice sounds as though you’ve stumbled upon her diary filled with her deepest sorrows and dreams. The words float out of her mouth with a painful truth, your heart aches for her brutally real emotions.
It is no surprise this band have been signed under the same label as Bon Iver 4AD. If fills us with even more joy that the band are supporting another fave of ours Beirut. Once again HOW DID WE MISS THESE GUYS?
They’ve just released their latest single ‘Smother’ and are looking to send out the album in the new year . For this band an album is a labour of love rather than simply bashing it out.
“We’re very genuine and we get attached to the songs. We don’t want to be like some bands who just go in and record then leave the final thing to a producer.”
We don’t predict this band will be churning out any mainstream chart pleasers anytime soon and we truly admire their honesty within music. They really are just lovely.
So enjoy their latest track as Daughter really bares their soul.
