Who would have thought that Abel Tesfaye would have reached the ambitious heights he is at now. More commonly known as the Weeknd, signed to the OVOXO record label. He is a versatile and soulful singer that touches on the essence of R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and Funk, bringing them to a unique blend of his style.
Abel Tesfaye is originally from Ethopia, but he is a Canadian national from Toronto, Ontario. He has a predominantly chilled out vibe to his music. With some trippy vibes and amazing music production, He has a very strong yet subtle voice. I have never heard anyone similar as he seems to almost make his own genre. Collaborating with the likes of drake on numerous occasions, this made him quite successful in a short amount of time. If you don’t know about the Weeknd yet then I seriously recommend you check him out. He’s been getting a lot of air time on radio recently so if you don’t know, make sure you find out.
