The Rolling Stones to Release New Documentary

Indie | Thursday 30th August 2012 | Osh

The rock and roll icons have announced that a new documentary called ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ is due for release in cinemas in October and will then go on general release in November.

The news come shortly after suspected rumours have emerged claiming the band is due to play four dates in the UK and US and fuels further speculation concerning a Glastonbury performance.

The documentary itself looks to follow the band via a collage of previously unseen footage dating all the way back to early gigs in the 60s right up to the present day. Directed by Brett Morgan the film also contains commentary from all current members of the band.

The Stones have previously been filmed in a documentary format by Martin Scorsese back in 2006. ‘Shine a Light’ captured the bands performance on their A Bigger Bang tour at the Beacon Theatre.

This year marks fifty years since the creation of the Rolling Stones and the celebration of their astounding contribution to music looks to be certain to begin.
