Congratulations Students!
RnB/Hip Hop | Friday 17th August 2012 | Osh
School, I hope my homies got that A,
I was out there surviving, looking for them better days
Fuck a minimal wage, I revised every page
Muma told me succeed, go out and get freed
From the hold of poverty
Used to buck shots, and travel used to bother me
Whilst searching for that bright future,
Devils tried to conquer me
I tell this shit with honesty
My peeps made money
Whilst I calculated formulae,
Always had dreams that were bigger,
Get my mumz a yard I would figure
Or maybe get my fam somewhere sicker,
I did school it was nuttin!
now I’m trying to work my way up to something
Catch me doing what i love,
Beat Bumpin, Hip Hoppin
understand i did the groundwork cuzin,
Now Mix-tapes keep dropping
My papers didn’t come from been licked up or buzzin
it came from going in hard and not floppin
Nb: Congratulations to all those who passed their A-Levels this year. This is an inspirational and motivational poem by Bilal, known as "Maroc" of The Geeks Crew. A concious hip hop crew in London, They will be at "Jamais Vu" in Shoreditch this Sunday to celebrate your A-Level results with the team. There will be good music, cheap drinks and good vibes. For those who didn't do so well, persevere and try again, as the path to success is trial and error.
