Time To Check Out: DONE LONDON

Other | Friday 17th August 2012 | Osh

DONE LONDON is a London based clothing line established a couple of years ago. Specialising in black and white style t-shirts with a range of simple yet eccentric designs, this is definitely a clothing label every Londoner should be aware of. We caught up with the creator of DONE LONDON and he gave us a quick insight into his clothing label

When and how did you go about setting up DONE LONDON

A couple of years ago I decided that I wanted to start screenprinting my own tees, after inquiring with a few people I decided that I was better off teaching myself and going from there.  After about 6 months I printed my first Southbound tee which set me on my way.  I was asked by Chrome & Black to produce a full set of North, South, East and Westbound tees to be sold in the shop.  This left me needing a brand name, I had been trying to think of one for a while but nothing was jumping out at me and everything seemed to have been done before.  With time ticking away and me needing to get this moving, I spoke with a mate who started saying you need to get this Done! Then bang that was it Done came from there...

What has influenced your style and design your of clothing?

London, particularly the underground, it represents us as Londoners and gives us our identity.

How do you look to spread awareness of your brand?

Word of mouth, giving out tees to people I respect and who want to associate with my brand, social media and of course stickers...

What other brands do you appreciate?

At the moment the brand I'm feeling most is Palace.  All the designs are bang on and it's real nice to see a brand growing that started in London.

What’s the next step for DONE LONDON?

Step up production and improve the quality of my products, really want to get some shirts made so keep your eyes peeled for those.  Also a new website is on the cards too so watch this space...

Cheers mate, good luck with it all.
