Monday 6th August 2012 | Osh
Celebrate the last bank holiday of 2012 with a whole day dedicated to music, dancing, dressing up, games, great food and flowing booze – and a whole lot of festival fun besides. Brought to you by Shoreditch venue The Book Club, Bookstock is a free street festival, offering several entertainment arenas with music from live acts, DJs, dance troupes and performers. Everything has a musical twist – and everyone gets involved.
Powering ahead with plans for its biggest event to date, Bookstock, The Book Club’s extra special welly-free festival event in the heart of Shoreditch, brings even more to the party and promising to be the best day out in East London on Sunday the 26th of August .
Bookstock has some very exciting additions, with the inimitable Disco Shed’s Shed Phone Disco silent disco back for the second year with reggae, funk, disco and rock’n’roll coming from Count Skylarkin and Trol23. The tremendous line-up is completed with DJ Emily Rawson and his urban flavours with ‘90s hip hop and R&B. Punk-reggae party people Dub Pistols headline with a live set of classics and new material from latest album ‘Worshipping the Dollar’. Super cute French multi-instrumentalist folk trio We Were Evergreen promise an eclectic and sublime performance.
The Book Club will be offering an extra special goody bag to the winner of the fancy dress competition – go for it, and don your fanciest festival gear. Grab a temporary tattoo from Zombie Collective, get your face painted as your favourite superhero, or go for it with some serious sparkle. And that’s not all. It’s about more than just the music at Bookstock. There’ll be a magician roaming through the crowd, a comedian who’ll have you giggling into your pint, and all kinds of fun and games!
Keep upto date here to don’t miss this massive event!!
