The Beatles have maintained their status in British rock history as one of the most influential and respected bands of all time, and even today their work is not going unnoticed. Foo Fighters’ frontman David Grohl claimed in a letter that “If it wasn’t for the Beatles [he] would not be a musician”.
He later went on to state that “The Beatles seemed to be capable of anything...they seemed to define what we know today as ‘Rock and Roll’”. It has also been claimed that Grohl's daughter Violet has become a fan of the 60’s rock band who he upholds “will remain the most important rock band of all time”.
The letter was intended to coincide with The Beatles compilation album ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’ which was released this week. The EP includes hits such as ‘Paperback Writer’ and ‘Helter Skelter’.
