Lana Del Rey reveals new video

Lana Del Rey has just released her latest video for her song ‘Summertime Sadness’ from her current album ‘Born to Die’. The singer who is known for her rather spookily abstract videos, stars with actress Jaime King, better known for her role in war film ‘Pearl Harbor’. The video focuses on the relationship between the two women who appear to be reminiscing about old times together. There has been much discussion over whether the video has links to homosexuality as the couple appear to be reasonably intimate, suggesting a romantic liaison. The majority of the film is seen in sepia in typical Lana fashion, creating that mystical, bleak aura which dominates much of her previous videos. At the ending, both women are seen to mimic the image of Christ’s crucifixion before committing suicide under an array of smoke.
