Usher's stepson passes away after boating accident

Usher's stepson Kile Glover, child of ex-wife Tameka Foster, has died 21 days after sustaining injuries in a boating accident at Lake Lanier in Georgia. 11 year old Glover and an unidentified 15 year old girl were struck by a water raft operated by family friend, Jeffrey S. Hubbard, but whilst her injuries mainly consisted of a broken arm, Kile was later declared brain dead by doctors in Atlanta.
Celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg and Toni Braxton took to Twitter to offer thier condelences to the family and Kile's mother wrote: "We know God's in control, and (we) are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now".
After being pronounced brain dead, Foster made the immensely difficult decision to turn off her child's life support. Glover was pronounced dead more than a week ago and died of heart failure on Saturday. Neurologist Dr. Brent Masel, national director of the Brain Injury Association of America and medical director of the Transitional Learning Center of Galveston was quoted stating that no person who has been declared brain dead has ever returned to normal functioning and that such a person would not get better.
It is especially tragic considering how if the blow had been struck just a few millimetres along, Glover may have suffered a less serious type of injury and most likely recovered. No charges have been pressed against Hubbard. We are sure everyone will be keeping Kile Glover in thier thoughts and prayers.
