Family Friend under Investigation after Usher’s Stepson Is Involved in Ski Jet Accident

Usher’s 11 year old stepson is reported to be ‘brain dead’ after being involved in a ski jet accident in Atlanta last weekend (7th-8th July 2012).
Kyle Glover, the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster has been by his bedside since he was admitted to hospital and he hasn’t experienced any brain activity since.
He was with his friend, a 15 year-old girl who was reportedly floating in tubes while they were being pulled out by a boat on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, where they were struck by a man on a jet ski. They were both airlifted to hospital.
Kyle was unresponsive, while his friend was treated for a cut on her head and on a broken arm. He is on a life support machine and a friend added Tameka is using her ‘spirituality and devotion to God’ to help her through. An insider said ‘This is a woman who lost the man of her dreams, her reputation and now her son within the course of four years. My heart goes out to her. Nobody deserves this pain.’
An insider said that this tragic incident has left Tameka ‘heartbroken’, as it has left Kyle in a critical condition.
Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a family friend of Usher and Tameka’s Foster, is under investigation after being involved in the accident that has left Kyle Glover in a coma.
According to the Georgia police department, Hubbard was riding his jet ski along Lake Lanier and “ran over the top” of two juveniles who were being pulled by a pontoon.
Two rangers (elite members of the United States Army) of Sgt. Mike Burgamy actually witnessed the crash, as reported by The New York Daily News. He added that alcohol and any kind of mechanical malfunction did not play a part in the accident.
“One minute the Jet Ski was running around, the next he ran over the top of them. It happened that quickly,” Burgamy said. “It appears the watercraft did strike both juveniles, with the male taking the brunt of the force.”
It’s still unclear whether any charges will be made against Hubbard.
In the meantime, Foster has been by her son’s bedside, praying he recovers soon, while Usher has also been spending a considerable amount of time by Kyle’s side, which he raised unconditionally as his own for seven years. Celebrities have also been sending their sympathy and best wishes.
