Madonna Reveals MDNA Costumes

Madonna is set to vogue her away around the world on her MDNA tour, which kicks off Thursday in Tel Aviv.
Madonna upholds her Material Girl reputation: a parade of costume changes includes outfits from long-time collaborators and friends Jean-Paul Gaultier and Jeremy Scott, shoes from Prada and MiuMiu, and pieces from Alexander Wang. Givenchy’s Ricardo Tisci is surprisingly absent on the designer list after designing the showboating Cleopatra-on-Mars outfit Madonna donned for her Super Bowl performance.
Costume designer and stylist, Arianne Philips, said, “It’s a real journey from the first act to the fourth, and the way she constructs her shows is like a theatre piece”. Arianne is responsible for the entire wardrobe design for Madonna, her backup singers, musicians and 22 backup singers.
MDNA is on tour from the May, 31st to December, 22nd.
