Catwalk Review: Jena.Theo A/W 12 – Heavy Metal

Wednesday 22nd February 2012 | Osh

Entitled « Heavy Metal » Jena.Theo’s show didn’t start how we expected it to; it started with soft piano playing. Far away from their previous catwalk show inspirations, the warrior- like and the Hollywood starlet models have given way to confident women. Street- style oriented, composed of chiffon, silk shirts and edgy evening dresses matched with skinny jeans, the collection gave a strong luxury feel from the first outfit to the last.

The framework of Jena.Theo’s designers Jenny Holmes and Dimitris Theocharidis was respected. They are known for their oversized and loose silhouettes since they won “Fashion Fringe” in 2009 and their signature for this A/W 12-13 collection was retained.

The textures and their quality used to mimic the properties of certain metals, such as the fluidity of mercury, seemed so comfy and soft with their choice of leather. Deeply feminine, the collection is a tribute to the modern woman who is confident to wear jeans and feel glamorous at the same time. A subtle ode to the understated luxury, the womanhood and the convenience, here at The Guestlist Network, we approved.
