Live At The Turntable Club, initially released in 1974, was the first live album recorded in Jamaica and now for the first time it’s available on CD. This is a genuine heartfelt roots reggae compilation. These are the type of songs that your parents used to listen to religiously and you grew up hearing, and probably had a hand in moulding your love for the genre. It’s filled with live performances from those classic reggae artists who have helped shape reggae and have gone on to inspire many today. Dennis Brown’s singles Cassandra, Rock With Me Baby, and Give A Helping Hand are the opening songs which undeniably give you a snippet of what classical reggae is all about. There are also songs by the great Delroy Wilson, Big Youth and Alexander Portious. This is vintage reggae at its best and if you’re interested to know where Bob Marley got some of his inspiration, this album should definitely be a part of your collection. This album is available now!
