Guestlist Recommends: Frankie and The Heartstrings

Frankie & The Heartstrings formed in 2008 and their debut album ‘Hunger’ was released earlier this year, making the UK top 40 album chart. The band consists of Michael McKnight (guitar), Frankie Francis (vocals), Dennis Mennis (Steven Dennis) (bass), Dave Harper (drums) and Mick Ross (guitarist and keys). Frankie and Michael went to college together and decided to start a band whilst chatting at a calypso night in a pub. They have already supported top UK act Florence and The Machine on tour and this summer they have been clocking up some air miles, performing at festivals all over the globe. They take a modern approach to traditional songwriting and producing us with infectious songs. If you are a fan of The Futureheads, Arctic Monkeys or Biffy Clyro then we reckon you will be big fans of the band! With the release of third single ‘Ungrateful’ we suggest you pick up a copy of their new album.
