Brought up on classic records from The Beatles to Kate Bush, Alice Offley of Alice & the Lovers claims her musical influences go far back into pop history: "My house is like an old music shop come studio. I have too many old guitars, pianos, drums, keyboards and organs, but I love them all".
The ultimate Rock n Roll hero 'Elvis Presley' became Alice's hero when she was 15, and she went to Graceland in 2014, where she was inspired to write the song 'Valentine' in her room at the Heartbreak Hotel! It has hints of a Spector-esque retro Girl Group with big backing vocal harmonies, along with the a trashy darkness of The Velvet Underground, and will be released on Valentine's Day 2015 - the perfect day for Lovers!
To celebrate the release of this debut EP, Alice, backed by her band The Lovers, will be playing at Camden hotspot the Dublin Castle 2 days before: February 12th at 8pm. Don't miss out on the chance to see this hot upcoming artist!
