Torture, Subjugation of Rebels and Now Laser Cannons. Okay America, Where’s the Death Star?

Yesterday the US Navy demonstrated the firepower of a fully armed and operational naval laser cannon.
Mounted on the USS Ponce (stop laughing) at the end of last month, footage has been released here:
As can be seen the footage it quickly and efficiently disposes of 2 ships and a drone. As it has been declared a financial and functional success it has been allowed for further use in self defence and is the first and smaller version of 100 and 150-kilowatt cannons to be deployed throughout 2016 and 2017.
The most pertinent question now is: how long will it be before we start seeing plans for battle stations?
