Bad Breeding let loose the Chains

Stevenage punk act, Bad Breeding, explode onto the British indie scene with a thumping, heart-pounding track that takes inspiration from Eagulls and Royal Blood.
Thanks to the piercingly haunted vocals of lead singer Matt Toll, emulating the sound of Eugulls and volume of Royal Blood, Bad Breeding form a convincing group. Featured as NME's Band of the Week, Bad Breeding come up trumps with their second single 'Chains'. The video, featuring Toll, shows the guitarist strapped to what looks like, a hospital bed, wrapped in clingfilm. These boys are out to make a statement and with Chains they exceed all of our expectations. The track is grungy and extremely dark whilst remaining melodic and tuneful; a difficult combination to master but a necessity in the modern world of punk. With Toll screaming “blood in my eyes, blood in my eyes” there's a hint of a modern classic here.
Despite their youth, Bad Breeding demonstrate a real level of maturity, with an exciting brand of punk-rock and an intense, alternative image to match.
