Beyoncé has come together with Topshop CEO, Sir Philip Green, to create an exciting new sub label!
No stranger to the high street, Beyoncé can be seen wearing her fave high street ensembles out and about, as well as posting her favourite Topshop outfits to her 19 million followers on Instagram.Therefore, it’s not surprising that Queen Bey – superstar, mother and business woman - has joined forces with the global megastore and struck a 50-50 partnership for a new street wear brand called Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd, however don’t mistake this for just another Topshop-celeb collaboration.
Green was keen to distinguish this venture from other high-profile brand-celebrity collections on the market, noting that this is a "partnership" rather than a conventional collaboration. He said:
“This is about building a brand and building a business — a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office”.
Where will this new ‘Topyoncé’ office happen? Sir Phil has already suggested towards a New York HQ and they’re looking to recruit a brand new team to turn it around in a year. The brand had been keen to start up an athletic subdivision for a while and who better to go into business with than a face (body) that can really get behind it. The superstar has said “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking.”
The line is said to be dropping in stores as early as Autumn 2015 – date your diary people!
