Zed Bias has always been ahead of the times. Back in 2000, he hit the UK garage scene with his classic 'Neighbourhood', reaching number 25 on the charts. Since then he has consistently maintained his status as a pioneer, dipping into breakbeat, early dubstep, funky and d'n'b, with last years 'Boss' LP on Swamp 81 going deeper and darker, yet still reaching cross-genre appeal.
This new video for the upcoming single 'Shizam', featuring Stylo G and Scru Fizzer, suggests we should expect more of the same. Uniting stuttering grime with a dancehall flavour, it's an unashamedly fun record – perfectly complemented by this 'WOOP!!'-inspiring video:
While he's now moving away from DJing to focus more on producing, you can still catch him live this Friday at In:Motion in Briston and at Canal Mills in Leeds on Saturday.
