Imogen Heap - Reverb (Concert Review)

On Sunday 24th August, Imogen Heap closed the Reverb mini-festival at Camden's Roundhouse.
The event celebrated the innovative uses of musical technology. Imogen Heap returned to perform after three and a half years. Her concept album, Sparks (here you can find our review) has come out on August 18th, and it is such a great achievement for her career. The doors opened at 6.30 p.m., and at 7, Leafcutter John started the concert with his music built through light. He is an innovative and original artist and the audience loved his unordinary music.
Then Imogen arrived. With her beautiful belly(she is pregnant!) she started her concert with one of her most intimate songs: Lifeline. Roundhouse got warmer and warmer. After that everyone started singing
" Here's the day you hoped would never come. Don't feed me violins just run with me through roads of speeding cars " and the magic began. This was the line up of Sunday’s night:

For each song she explained the story behind it.
She also used her Mi.mu gloves to help make her music. Through them she is able to trigger various sounds and musical effects just with a hand movement. Imogen is so smart, funny and intense. Her voice is as powerful as our memory could recall. Even if there were some technical problems she ended her concert on a high note: Hide and Seek. When she performed it, the audience was on fire. It's so good to be in love..with her songs. After this concert, I can definitely say, I just want more!
Imogen, you are one of the most intriguing and gripping artist of this decade.
