Fans stated on twitter that Muse's opening European tour gig in France was "insane".
Muse started their European tour in Montpellier, France tuesday night reveiling their amazing latest props alongside some songs of their early years and new songs as well. The concert took place at Park & Suits Arena and the set was opened with a new song 'Unsustainable' from their new album released earlier this year, The 2nd Law.
After playing other new songs from their most recent album, the big surprise for the fans was the music 'Falling Down' from their debut album Showbiz which impressed them because the track had not been on the setlist since 2000. The song 'Hysteria' (third on the setlist as you will be able to see behind) is followed by a new, wild and huge prop. About that called "Tornado/Pyramid reveal", Matt Belamy said: "It's basically an upside-down pyramid which is a very symbolic gesture. A lot of people think the pyramid represents power structures, you know, in every walk of life. Anything from basic corporate structures with a top down system where CEOs take all the profit and get paid more than the people at the bottom, which is the kind of down to earth version, to the Illuminati, you know. The pyramid seems to represent the power structures of the world. Turning it upside down is a gesture as to what we think of that."
Being well known for their live shows, Muse keep raising the bar and we thank them! They will be in the UK promoting their new album with 4 gigs.
