Wakin' on a pretty daze

Long haired Kurt Vile is a man of routine. Routine that consists of pure idleness, indifference and boredom. Rather than attempting to “revolutionise” music and creating something with a lot of shock factor, he sticks to what he knows best and pulls it off pretty darn well. Adding the drone in his voice to the unhurried instrumental collection and his wise words to the enlightening tracks, his new album Wakin’ on A Pretty Daze is received as if it were comprised in smoke. And when inhaling the vapours of his songs, Vile’s way of “living low, lackadaisically so” will eventually become a norm for you too.
