BIG!
It’s the only thing you can say when Adam Beyer & Carl Cox roll out a crazy day of techno. Crazy fucking huge. The Junction 2 team sure know how to make the ground shake.
The Bridge
We started the day under the Bridge, a stage taken over by Drumcode with La Fleur in control for a very groovy set popping with huge pumping bass lines. This is honestly my kind of techno. Enrico Sangiuliano came after playing a darker, deeper set with a harder rhythm... This guy was not here to mess around!
The Pavillon
The Pavillon played host to Dixon & Âme mixing for 6 crazy hours in this tent. With a bar perfectly situated right next door, every time you went to get a drink, you danced more than ever. These guys are marathon runners, combining a whole host of different styles inside the set!
The Hex
Rolling out the vibes in the Hex, is Tale of Us who played what might have been our favourite set of the day. This mammoth stage suited the heady melodies characteristic of their sound perfectly. Then came the inimitable, Nina Kraviz with an explosive set proving herself worthy of the crown as the queen of techno.
Back to basics
Topping everything off was Carl Cox & Adam Beyer in a back to back set. The two "daddies" of the event were not tired. Never. They just ended the day with straught monumental moments. Only epic tracks, for an epic duo. These two legends of the genre gave to the public exaclty what it wanted and it was definitely worth the wait.
It's been a long time since I've had this much fun on an event. Music on point and good vibes all day. Everyone was there for the same thing and the organisers really went above and beyond. There was always someone on hand to help if needed, lockers to put down your bags and above all a lot of kindness. Take us back!
