Matrix & Futurebound bringing the good stuff!

Drum and Bass | Thursday 14th June 2018 | Arren

Matrix & Futurebound have dropped us a killer playlist of tunes.

Duo’s don’t come much bigger than Matrix & Futurebound. Together they have released an epic back catalogue of music remixed huge names, and performed on the biggest stages, and somehow Futurebound still finds time to run Viper - a leading force in drum & bass. They’re constantly on the move, clocking in at some the biggest and best festivals and clubs all over.

Once again it’s looking like a big summer for the boys with dates including Exit, Let It Roll & Creamfields. Not to mention a stack of club appearances. On top of their heavy schedule, the pair have just dropped their summer banger - ‘Live Another Day’.

Following the sick ‘Mystery Machine’, it’s another track from their forthcoming album that’ll be dropping later this year. It’s an uplifting summer smasher featuring the stunning vocals from Alex Hepburn. In light of all this we had to invite Matrix & Futurebound to make us a playlist of bangers. As expected they’ve gone for it and given us a selection of sick tunes!

Culture Shock - There For You

“An absolutely incredible track, this has got to be one of the most finely crafted pieces of D&B to come out this year. Culture Shock is one of the benchmarks in underground music production right now and this could be the track that spreads his name far and wide.”

J-Majik vs. Hatiras - Spaced Invader

“Another game changing track by a game changing artist. When the genre was at its Darkest saturated by tech step It felt like a new dawn for the scene when Ja dropped this. Producing a mixture of disco house with drum & bass was a bold move at the time but what a master stroke it proved to be. Riser heaven.”

Metrik - Want My Love

“A nineties tinged soulful intro paired with a futuristic minimal drop, this one does the damage every time and the production is on point as always from Metrik. Experimental music that remains solid as a rock on the dance floor.”

Photek - Complex

“As huge Photek fans it’s so hard to pick your favourite from his jaw dropping catalogue. Photek is the master of drum production and always will be in our opinion. Remember hearing Fabio playing this last at ‘Amazon’ in Wolverhampton and it literally blew the entire club to smithereens. The levels this track takes the listener to are incredible, 20 years on and still sounds super fresh.”

Nero - Do You Wanna

“We love production outfits that can switch things up at the flick of a wrist. Nero definitely fall under that category and ‘Do you Wanna’ was most definitely one of their defining moments. Lush pads, tearing triplet drums, combined with a super catchy one line hook made this the stand out track of 2009.”
