Reading & Leeds Festival lineup pisses off rock fans
RnB/Hip Hop | Thursday 15th February 2018 | Sofian
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are known as the ultimate rock festivals in the UK. For 2018 their rock lineup includes legends like Kings Of Leon, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, The Wombats and plenty more.
However, this year rap is taking over the festivals. Kendrick Lamar is one of this year's headliners, in addition to UK rappers like Skepta, Kojo Funds and the rising star J Hus. The new American rap scene will also see the phenomenon Lil Pump and Playboi Carti playing at the festivals. Even afrobeats artist Mr Eazi will take to the stage.
So where's the rock in all this? That's the question a lot of regulars are asking, this new lineup has left many disappointed. Many rock fans took to Twitter to voice their discontent:
Imagine pre paying for Reading and Leeds festival after last years festival, and seeing todays line up, haha! Worst line up I've seen! #RandL18

Who remembers when Reading and Leeds fest was a rock festival. Only Kings Of Leon there. What a sell out...still be going on the Sunday for Kings Of Leon though...who is Kendrick Lamar?
