Tessa Pollitt Hosts Roots Night at The Deptford Dub Club

The Deptford Dub Club in South East London hosts free music nights that see a collaboration of artists playing Reggae, Rocksteady, Roots and Ska music from the 60s until now.

With a warm up by Jamaican DJ Ras Danny Mosiah, best known for his work with Shaka, the night will be run by Tessa Pollitt from 70s punk rock band, The Slits spinning 100% Roots and Culture Reggae.

Pollitt will be selecting from an outstanding collection of reggae records sent from Jamaica by Slits band mate Ari who lived there.

There will also be a set from resident DJ Soft Wax as well as live vocals from a surprise guest including West African vocalist Setonjdi.
