LA MODE And Their Revival Of Blues Punk
Manchester’s underground music scene is seriously awash with gifted musicians and flaring attitude. Erupting within it is a restless four piece going by the name ‘La Mode’; a band making waves within their home town with a web of nostalgic 60’s aroma, blues rock and silky-punk aesthetic. ‘La Mode’ owes much of their growing success to their lead vocalist, Millie Sproston. Her unique rasping voice is one not heard on the regular, paired with the perfect mixture of gritty punk and the mellower hook of blues that never allows for their sound to be pigeonholed.
They’re a band most at home and best received when on stage. Favourite tracks ‘Wicked Mind’ and ‘Accidently in Love’ are allowed to come to life within intimate venues, so it is definitely worth the ticket.
The project are next set to perform with BLOOMS at The Castle Hotel where they will be supporting Slotface on the 13th Feb.
