Kedr Livanskiy, the latest 'cool' from the Russian Underground.

House | Wednesday 1st February 2017 |

She is to music what Gosha Rubchinsky is to fashion, It's that easy. The two are residents of the Moscow club, Nii and are both born in USSR and refer to the club as an inspiration, they are the ones bringing Russia's 'anti-POSH' culture onto a new level this year.

The recent Gosha & Adidas collab show in Kaliningrad which had models walking the catwalk to the sound of themselves speaking about their dreams and ambitions, definitely made an impression. Gosha use the 'reality' in the heads of youth and so does Kedr.

Kedr Livanskiy, real name Jana Kedrina, is 26 is a musician signed to electronic label 2MR headed by Mike Simonetti, Adam Gerrard and Mike Sniper.
'Music helps you to isolate from the shit' says Jana, who managed to study film and literature for 5 years, while being a part of a DIY collective called John's Kingdom, full of creative musicians and artists interested in electronic music. Jana claims the literature degree helps her with the music production however the lyrics are always mysterious, personal and through this 10 times more attractive!

"Draws waltz thin circle, destroying all that is around, from me to you, and vice versa" (Razrushitelnyj Krug - Kedr Livanskiy)

Her music is quite meditative, and especially if you are not fluent in Russian - you had better get ready to catch a trance like state!
