Ourmala is a charity based in Hackney, east London, which is dedicated to helping refugees and asylum seekers through yoga. The charity provides therapeutic yoga classes, nutritional hot healthy lunch, English classes, access to critical services like safety, food, water and shelter, access to education and other activities and refunds for the cost of travel. Ourmala run gender-sensitive classes for women as well as classes for children, young people and men. Classes and events are held across London, in spaces such as Hackney City Farm, South Kensington Evolve Wellbeing Centre and British Red Cross centres in Islington, Lewisham and Hammersmith.
