Rave to the grave with Westfest 2016 this weekend

So you thought festival season was over, well Summer is for sure, but the lovely folk over at Slammin Vinyl have a mammoth rave up this Halloween weekend on the 29th of October.
One of, if not the biggest Drum & Bass led events in the country, and the only event of its type that runs all night, Westfest 2016 looks set to be the biggest yet since its inception in 2004. Held at Bath & West Showground, Somerset, the main stage is headlined by one of the undisputed heavyweights of Drum and Bass, Andy C, who brings his undiluted Ram bass and Amen breaks down to the West Country to tear down the main stage arena. Some major names in support on the main stage include the original Grand dad grumpy bad boy selector, DJ Hype, SASASAS, Hazard, DJ Luck and MC Neat and old skool veterans The Rat Pack.
Taking care of business on the other stages, Slammin Vinyl have brought in some of the most reputable names in raving history. One Nation takes us down a scary and frightful encounter with Ghouls and Ghosts like Shadow Demon Coalition, Mampi Swift, Dillinger, Nicky Black Market and Fatman D with Skibadee, Eksman, Harry Shotta, Shabba D and full crew supporting on vocal duties.
Arena 4 takes the BPM’s down a notch with Garage Nation donning their finest Halloween outfits including Majestic, Oxide and Neutrino, Artful Dodger, Pied Piper and Mike Ruffcut Lloyd. Showcasing some Grime and Bass on the night would only be right, with P Money and the OG’z and Boy Better Knows Frisco topping the proceedings over at Arena 5.
No big night like this would not be complete if it didn’t pay homage to the old school, and a harp back to where it all started. Legendary rave organisers Dreamscape have stepped up in monstrous fashion and put together some of the best rave names that helped pave the way for the great scene we have today. The South East London jungle dub plate master, Mickey Finn comes in with legends like Ellis Dee, DJ Vibes, Easy Groove, Dougal, Mark EG and Dazee playing with hosting support from Magika and Robbie Dee.
