RnB/Hip Hop | Thursday 7th April 2016 | Christina

The mini-doc by Crowdmix features Skepta, Stormzy, Lethal Bizzle, Little Simz, and Ghetts to name a few.
Brand new music platform Crowdmix, has hooked up with SBTV, Beats 1 and others, to create a brilliant new documentary about the global spread of grime. Entitled Taking Grime to the US, it asks whether the fast moving urban genre will cross over the pond. Crowdmix follow a similar path, launching in the UK in the coming months, before doing the same in the US later this year.
In the short film, Crowdmix explores the UK roots and rise of grime in the US through the eyes of artists including Ghetts, Jumanji, and Shakka whilst they are in Austin, Texas for SXSW. Featuring commentary from Apple Music/ Beats1 legend Zane Lowe and clips from Stormzy's first US show, the documentary packs a lot into five minutes.
