As someone who has watched People Just Do Nothing since they were a YouTube sketch show and when MC Grindah was MC Sniper, it is easy to forget that they are an ‘act’. Yet they have just been nominated for a comedy award at the prestigious BAFTA awards.

Nominated in the ‘scripted comedy’ category alongside Peep Show, PJDN has rightly been recognised as one of the UK’s funniest shows.

Directed by Jack Clough, notable for his work on ‘Skins’, PJDN follows the lives of Brentford’s realest pirate radio station, helped out along the way by the ever entrepreneurial Chabuddy G.

The show is so funny because these guys live it, were they even acting in the first place? I don’t think anyone knows anymore. Their show at KOKO sold out before their fans had even put their card details in to buy a ticket, and their sixty minutes on MistaJam's show has become part of UK internet-music legend.

It will be a challenge to beat Mitchell and Webb's Peep Show to the award but considering what they have achieved so far, I wouldn't be surprised if there were to do it.
