We previously brought you Winters Island’s excellent rework of the En Vogue classic ‘Don’t Let Go (Love)’, and now they’re set to drop their own single ‘Ares' on April 6th.
Mixing layers of giddy electro pop and indie with noisier, darker thrills, ‘Ares’ has a sound that is both familiar and unique. The strength of the lyrics adds to the impact of the track; lead singer Andy Trimmer’s proclamation “I’m a man that can’t be saved” is a powerful hook that expertly leads into a synth crescendo.
The band has already received support from Dermot O’Leary and BBC Radio 2, as well as a host of Amazing Radio DJs. The single is a strong addition to the catalogue of this talented band, and looks set to please both old fans and those finding the Winters Island sound for the first time.
Keep your eyes peeled for the official ‘Ares’ video, which is coming soon. Follow Winters Island on Twitter and Facebook
