The Strokes announce London Hyde Park gig

The New York quintet will headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time on June 18th. The Hyde Park date is the first UK gig for the band since they co-headlined Reading & Leeds Festival back in 2011, and is their only UK festival date of 2015. The Strokes will be supported by Beck and Future Islands, which the band described as “pretty-freaking-awesome.” And if that wasn’t quite enough, Temples, Public Service Broadcasting, Gengahr, The Wytches, Hinds, Yak and Kieran Leonard are also on the bill.
With the handpicked support bill and the hope of some new music from the band, this gig is shaping up to be unmissable.
