Goldfrapp Announce Details of Sixth Album and Autumn Tour

Goldfrapp have announced that their sixth studio album, titled ‘Tales of Us’ which will be released on 9th September 2013 through Mute Records.
‘Tales of Us’ is described as ‘their most narrative, cinematic and intimate recording so far.’ The band take a new lyrical direction, with the record giving the impression of a concept album of ‘evocative character sketches.’
The band has released a trailer for the album which can be viewed at goldfrapp.com.
The record will be available on CD, vinyl and a limited edition boxset complete with a disc of bonus material and a hardback book compiled by the band.
Lisa Gunning is creating a film to accompany the album, which will be screened in cinemas later this year.
As well as publicising the details of their new album, they have also announced an Autumn European tour, including a date at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 1st November. The full tour is as follows:
