We Recommend You Listen To La Femme For A Perfect Summer Sound

We’ve got a new band for you to add to your summer playlist, they’ve been described as lo-fi surf pop and they’re called La Femme.
The chic band from Paris has a unique poppy sound, with a bit of electro thrown in for good measure. They released their debut album Psycho Tropical Berlin in April and we think it’ll go perfectly with your summer, whether you spend it having long summer days at the beach or just going to those back garden barbeques that never end and slowly become house parties (I’m really excited for summer in case you couldn’t tell). We particularly recommend the tracks ‘Sur La Planche’ and ‘Amour dans le motu’, cute French vocals to a peppy track that you can’t help but dance to.
The band themselves look like models, most of them have bleach blonde hair and the girls manage to get their smudgy black eyeliner to smudge perfectly, which is really quite hard to do. La Femme are currently touring but sadly they won’t make it too England until the 18th September, when they’ll be playing at the Sebright Arms in London. Tickets are still available and we recommend going, if only to see for yourself how beautiful and cool they look in person.
