The Future and 3D printing:

Okay, so 3D printing is becoming more and more known now and it certainly makes the life of an architect much easier when it comes to model making! But is it being used for the right reasons?
The new revelations and technologies are allowing the designers of the world to think on a bigger scale! Architects are already thinking of printing Urban Landscapes, canal houses and even buildings to be printed on the MOON!
The scientists of the world are thinking in terms of Bio-Printing – printing human organs and tissues. Food is also being printed now and NASA is already set to use 3D printing for food! (Amazing isn't it?). On the fashion side of things designers have already modelled printed dresses! It’s definitely taking the world by surprise, even being seen in music videos now, with Will.I.Am’s ‘Scream and Shout’ video showing the artist’s head being printed!
So what’s next for our world? Weapons being printed? Well shockingly that has already been done and tested! It’s amazing how something so convenient and astonishing can suddenly turn into something frightening, this brilliant invention is already being turned into a lethal one. Parts of an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle were printed and tested only recently.
3D printing isn’t hard at all anyone with a computer and designing software would be able to find the blueprints of gun parts and just simply print them off. After that, it’s just like an easy jigsaw puzzle where you assemble the parts. There you have it, you just ‘printed’ yourself a weapon!
Now that IS scary! Don’t you agree?
